MENTAL PERFORMANCE TRAINING (MPT)
Already have a solid foundation of mental skills? Level up with Mental Mastery - a program designed specifically to improve time spent in flow state -An optimal state of consciousness where we feel our best and perform our best.
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?
The science behind flow state consciousness and the various conditions that trigger it
How you can use flow to enhance learning, creativity, and performance
A deeper understanding of yourself through the development of a tangible personal philosophy that guides your life
How to be more present on and off the field through the application of mindfulness techniques
There is no direct way to train someone to get into flow. However, we can train certain conditions that increase your "flow proneness".
WHAT IS INCLUDED?
The Mental Mastery program trains 3 core areas:
Understand yourself on a deeper level. Become aware of what motivates you and drives you into flow. Here, you will develop a personal philosophy that guides your life and performance. You will also learn the various pre-requisites and conditions for flow, as well as symptoms. (2 sessions)
One of the conditions for flow state is having a clear objective of what you want to do both at a macro level, and a micro level. Here, you will develop a clear target for your life and performance. (2 sessions)
Following the Mindfulness Acceptance Commitment (MAC) approach, you will hone your mindfulness skills for enhanced focus and commitment. (2 sessions)
Chasing flow comes at a cost. When we keep seeking the next big thing we risk burnout, dissatisfaction, or worse. Understanding how and when to recover is crucial. (1 session)
1 introductory/intake session + 9 mental training sessions
(10 sessions in total)
Assessments to measure your baseline mental skills with follow up assessments after sessions are complete
Worksheets & audio resources to aid in learning
E-Book copy of my book: Mind Without Mind: A Philosophical Guide to the Science of Mental training
WHO IS IT FOR?
This is for serious performers who are looking to advance their mental skills training. There will be an application process to see if you are a right fit for the program. The expectation is that you will dedicate time and effort into the training.
Note: Flow Performance does not treat or diagnose mental illness. In such a case, a referral will be made, but work can still continue in regards to performance enhancement.
*Note: As of mid 2020, Flow Performance is moving to a virtual office. In person sessions are not currently available.
